STUDIO FAQS / GUIDELINES
We want everyone to have the best experience when using the space, so here are a few gentle reminders to keep things running smoothly:
ARRIVING & LEAVING
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your session so you have time to get in and settle.
It’s important to finish your slot on time, as another creator might be booked in straight after you.
USING THE SPACE
Feel free to move the furniture to suit your shoot – just please return everything to how you found it.
You’re very welcome to use any of the props available in the studio.
If anything breaks, no stress – just let me know as soon as possible so I can fix or replace it for the next person.
There is no WIFI (this is coming!) - the easiest options are your phone’s personal hotspot or the on-site EE WiFi (pay-as-you-go)
BRINGING GUESTS
For hourly studio hire, the space is suitable for a maximum of 2 people.
If you’re planning to bring a small team or have 2+ people, you’ll need to book a half-day or full-day slot - this gives you more time, more space, and a more relaxed environment to create without rushing.
Not sure what’s best? Just get in touch – I’ll be happy to help you find the right setup.
What’s inside the studio?
Right now, you’ll find a two-seater sofa, a round table with four chairs, two accent chairs with a side table, plus a bouclé accent chair.
For content creation, there’s a professional light, a tripod and a phone tripod - all available for you to use.
The space is constantly evolving as new pieces and props are added, so each visit feels a little different. If there’s something specific you need for your session, just let me know - I’ll always do my best to help!
LIGHT
June Studio is a natural light space — at its best when the sun is shining! There's one professional light available in the studio to support you if the natural light isn’t quite enough. It’s very easy to use, but due to its size and setup, please handle it with care. The overhead ceiling lights aren’t ideal for photo or video shoots, so we don’t recommend using them during your session if you’re creating visual content
CAN I BRING MY OWN LIGHTS OR EQUIPMENT?
Absolutely – but if you need something specific, feel free to check in advance. I also have basic props and lighting available to use.
ACCESS & SECURITY
If I can’t be there in person, I’ll leave the key in the lockbox outside the door and share the code with you before your booking.
IS THERE A TOILET IN THE STUDIO?
Yes, there’s a shared toilet just below the studio next to STUDIO NK
RESPECTING THE BUILDING
Please keep noise to a normal level, as there are other businesses working in the building, including right below the studio.
IS THERE PARKING NEARBY?
There are several car parks around Newbury town centre including Kennet Centre Multi Storey Car Park or Newbury Corn Exchange (Bear Lane) Car Park and Newbury Library Car Park
IMPERFECTIONS
Please note that the studio is located in a beautiful, historic building, and as such, only minimal renovation work has been carried out inside. You might spot a few small imperfections here and there – nothing major, and certainly nothing that can’t be creatively styled out with props or edited in post-production. It all adds to the character, charm and authenticity of the space!
ACCESSIBILITY
Due to the layout and age of the building, the studio is located on the SECOND FLOOR (FRONT) and unfortunately, there is no lift access. At this time, the space is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility. We completely understand this may be limiting and are always open to discussing alternative ways to support your content needs where possible.
